Wednesday Hodgepodge
3. Something everyone seems to love but is not your 'cuppa tea'?
So many of my friends love the Real Housewives franchises. In college, our senior week was even themes around "real housewives of theta". I don't get it. Why would I want to watch women I don't know sit and argue about nonsense and privilege? it just seems utterly exhausting and pointless.
4. Fish and chips, bangers and mash, shepherd's pie, roast beef with Yorkshire pudding...which entree would you choose? Yes, you have to choose.
Roast beef with Yorkshire pudding - no questions asked! It's the ultimate comfort meal, especially with a side of root veggies and a little horseradish involved!
5. Something you want for your birthday this year?
My birthday is in February, so it's never a good time to travel or do a weekend away, but I love doing experiences for gifts. I've also just enjoyed a fun and fabulous Christmas not too long before, so I mainly enjoy a cozy day with a meal I love and my family. Maybe a pretty bouquet of flowers?
6. Insert your own random thought here.
My throat is so sore and scratchy. I think I need to get a microphone for my media center. My voice can project, but speaking and reading all day long in the library and speaking over the noise of the cafeteria during lunch duty have killed my throat. I'm not sick either, it's just the throat. If you're an educator and use a microphone in your space, do you have one you recommend?
Time with family on my birthday is my favorite too. And a Sunday roast with Yorkshire is so good. Enjoy your day!
ReplyDeleteI don't watch any of those reality shows; I just don't get them. I sued to watch some of the old ones on Vh1 years ago but I can't stomach the stupidity anymore.
ReplyDeleteDon't get me started on insurance companies or you will be reading my posts for weeks!!! Not a fan of those reality shows. I take a tablespoon of local grown honey every morning before heading to school; this might help your throat.

ReplyDeleteYour answer to #2 reminded me of the absolute horror show my last health insurance company was, and yes, I did throw a couple of wobblies in trying to straighten out the horrible mess they made of my dental bills. Which I'm still dealing with, incidentally. UGH. Hope your voice improves and that you're having a good week!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're feeling settled in...I don't like the real housewives either
