What I'm reminiscing about
I'm reminiscing about falls in years past; every turn of the season brings a bit of nostalgia!
What I'm loving
I am loving feeling good at my job. I know most students' names. They feel confident in expectations in the library. I feel like I have a good plan for the month of October. It's feeling really good overall.
I am also loving watching my son grow - trying new things athletically, finding new characters he loves, playing mario kart with his dad, singing songs he learned at school. I just love watching him become who he is.
What we've been up to
September flew by! My parents were visiting over Labor Day. We went to a Wake Forest football game. We celebrated my husband's birthday. We played a lot of soccer and t-ball. We've explored Pilot Mountain.
What I'm dreading
I'm not dreading anything, but I'm gearing up for a whirlwind October!
What I'm working on
I decorated for autumn at home. I'm working on sub plans and lesson plans for October at school. I'm working on gathering recipes and a meal plan for October too.
What I'm excited about
I'm excited about life right now. Lots of pieces are coming together for us that were suspended in previous years. I'm excited for all the fun October will bring. I'm just genuinely joyful and grateful right now.
What I'm watching
I honestly really only watch football right now, or Sesame Street/Wild Kratts/Daniel Tiger if Warren is home. We also watch Pixar movies as a family each week. I'm excited to finally see Inside Out 2; the first one is one of my favorite movies!
What I'm reading
I'm currently reading Change of Heart by Falon Ballard.
What I'm listening to
I start my day with the Mo News podcast.
What I'm wearing
All my summer clothes; our part of the piedmont is still in the 80s most days!
What I'm doing this weekend
We're expecting a very rainy weekend, so hopefully I'll be cozy and watching football and reading and spending time with my boys.
What I'm looking forward to next month
So many things! Lake Street Dive concert. NCSLMA annual conference. Our anniversary. Halloween. Fall activities. Our book fair. Our reading night at school. Fun fall festivals. A pumpkin patch! So much October goodness!
What else is new
Honestly, not much. I feel like we're settling into our new rhythms and routines.
