Hodge Podge
2. 'Rome wasn't built in a day.' What project/activity/improvement (of any kind) do you have going on right now to which this saying might be applied?
Getting my library back in order! We got new carpet (yay!) one weekend in February, but between weather, the math fair, read across America week, and simply the lack of time with all the classes I teach, the library is still disheveled. I had hopes to get everything put back together before spring break next week, but I have a district media team meeting all day Friday, so we'll do as much as we can before then, and come back from spring break and keep going. Maybe it'll be put to rights by the end of the year when it's time to inventory everything!
3. Let's do a little this or that with some Italian foods...
- Caprese salad or Prosciutto with melon? I love both, but would choose prosciutto with melon
- Bruschetta or Antipasto? Bruschetta
- lasagne or ravioli? Lasagna
- bolognese or Carbonara? Carbonara
- Risotto or gnocchi? Again, love both, but risotto
- tiramisu~gelato~cannoli? Gelato, but it has to be true gelato, not ice cream. They're so different! I love pistachio, lemon and cantaloupe flavored gelato best.
4. Of the colors red, white, and green which would I find most prevalent in your home? Which one do you think is most flattering to you in terms of your wardrobe? Have you ever had your colors done? Is that something you'd be interested in doing?
I love decorating with greens! It feels so earthy and warm to me.
I have not had my colors done, but also feel I look best in shades of green. One of my favorite colors to wear is olive.
5. Life would be boring without____________________?
Books! Is that cliché to say as a librarian? Probably, but it's so true! The adventures and stories are endless. I would be so sad without the magic of books.
6. Insert your own random thought here.
I can't believe we're in the final week of the third quarter of this school year. It is flying by and fourth quarter won't slow down any with Easter break, two different weeks of testing (and then make-ups the following weeks), field day, and all the end of year festivities.
I agree life would be far less interesting without books! Sounds like yours has been busy lately. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteHope that putting your library back in order goes smoothly - sounds like a big and exciting project! I agree that books make life more interesting too. Hope you're having a great week!
ReplyDeleteYou'll have to share a photo of the library when it's back in order. I enjoyed your answers. There is a gelato place in Portland, Oregon (not far from me) that I've been wanting to try.
